Engineering isn’t just what I do—it’s how I think. Whether fine-tuning vehicle dynamics or tackling complex mechanical challenges, I thrive on pushing the limits of performance and innovation. My work is built on precision, problem-solving, and an insatiable drive to make machines faster, stronger, and more efficient.
I'm Trevor Gallant, an engineer with a passion for motorsport and vehicle dynamics. While I specialize in optimizing suspension systems, CAD, and overall vehicle handling, my expertise also spans electro-mechanical systems, system integration, vehicle testing, and data analysis. With hands-on experience optimizing suspension systems, tire performance, and overall vehicle dynamics, from my time on the UWFM FSAE design team and in my personal time, I work to enhance performance both on and off the track.
Balancing technical precision with real-world application, I approach every challenge analytically and hands-on. Whether refining chassis and suspension dynamics, interpreting performance data, or developing innovative solutions, I’m always eager to push boundaries and contribute to high-performance automotive engineering. Let’s connect and build something fast!
Beyond engineering, I’m always chasing new challenges, experiences, and perspectives that shape who I am—both on and off the track. Whether it’s motorsport, hands-on projects, or diving into a technical book, my passion for learning and exploration extends far beyond the workshop. Hard work and determination fuel everything I do, and I thrive on collaborating with like-minded people who share the same relentless pursuit of progress.
Beyond my passion for motorsports—whether it's F1, karting, spending time in the track pits, or racing in the sim—I’ve explored a variety of hobbies that have shaped who I am. These interests continue to provide valuable skills and experiences that I apply both personally and professionally.
From hands-on machining (manual & CNC), 3D printing, and diecast/model vehicle collecting to traveling, aerial drones, sports, computer building, video games, and other creative projects, I’m always looking for new ways to learn, create, and challenge myself.
Since a young age, I have participated in many different sports ranging from soccer and skiing, since a young age, to volleyball and rock climbing / bouldering. I've also enjoyed my time in the outdoors, enjoying nice weather and beautiful sceneries from the Rocky Mountains to around the world . As a naturally active and athletic person (thank-you genetics), I've always enjoyed learning new sports, learning the intricate strategies and rules of each. In combination with my technical mindset, even when learning new sports where little to none of my previous experiences applied, I was able to pick it up quickly from brief lessons. I always excelled quickly by studying others who were better or also learning, picking up useful technics and expanding my trial and error sample size through others. With a wide range of skills and life lessons developed through my love and admiration of sports, I almost always have some experience and life lessons to apply to my day-to-day.
A full list of sports & outdoor activities I've participated in, most of which I continue to this day, include; ultimate frisbee, mountain biking, volleyball, weight lifting & body building, rock climbing & bouldering, football (soccer), baseball, cricket, golf, paddle-boarding, canoeing, kayaking, alpine downhill skiing, backcountry telemark skiing, snowboarding, wilderness camping, and hiking.
I've been fortunate to have been able to travel all around the world, whilst living in Lagos, Nigeria. Having traveled to over 40 different countries, in 6 of the 7 continents, I've encountered many different cultures and met many different people. My travels have provided many incredible memories, experiences, and valuable insights, all of which I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I have a scratch-map poster that I hope to complete one day. Some of my favorite trips have been of Dubai, a New Years in Sydney, Australia, a sea turtle hatchery and Bri Bri tribe service trip to Costa Rica, and visiting an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand!
